Isaiah Washington IV is an American actor and Internet personality. After a series of films, he became known as Dr. Preston Burke during the first three seasons of the Grey's Anatomy series from 2005 to 2007. Washington began his career working with director Spike Lee. in the movies Crooklyn, Clockers, Girl 6 and on the bus. He has also appeared in the films Love Jones, Bulworth, True Crime, Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, Ghost Ship and Hollywood Homicide. In 2005, Washington accepted his breakout role as Preston Burke in Grey's Anatomy. He was fired after a third season over allegations he used gay stigma, although he would be back as a guest in 2014. From 2014 to 2018, Washington took off. Play Thelonious Jaha in the CW sci-fi television series The 100. In 2020, Washington hosts the travel cooking show on Fox Nation.
