Jacqueline French is an Australian author, has written more than 140 books and won more than 60 national and international awards. She is considered one of Australia's most famous and award-winning children's authors, writing about a number of children's genres including photo books, history, fiction and fiction from history. She is also the author of books on ecology, gardening, pest control, kangaroos, other wild animals and chickens as well as adult novels.
