Ricardo Valdez Valentine Jr., known by his stage name 6lack, is an American singer, rapper and musician. He first gained notable recognition following the release of his single, "Prblms", from his debut album, Free 6lack, released in November 2016. He released his second album, East Atlanta Love Letter in September 2018, reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200. Later that year, he released the single "OTW". 6lack was featured on Normani's single "Waves", which earned him an MTV Music Video award. In June 2020, he released EP 6pc Hot, including the single "Know My Rights". Later that year he was featured on Gorillaz "The Pink Phantom", alongside Sir Elton John. In 2021, her single "Call me" topped the charts in Canada and number three in the United States. 6lack is currently signed to Love Renaissance and Interscope Records.
