Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye, known as Abdoulaye Faye, is a former Senegalese footballer who played at defender. Faye started his career playing for ASEC Ndiambour and Jeanne d'Arc in his hometown Senegal before joining Lens in 2002. After a loan stint at Istres, he caught the eye of Sam Allardyce, who had brought him to sign for Bolton Wanderers in July 2005 After two seasons at Bolton, he followed Allardyce to Newcastle United where he spent one before joining Stoke City in August 2008 for 2.25 million pounds. Faye became a Britannia Stadium player in 2008–2009, won the Player of the Year award and was named captain of the 2009–2010 season by Tony Pulis. He lost his ability to Ryan Shawcross in 2010-2011 and went on to have a third with Allardyce at West Ham United.
