A. C. Green Jr. is a former professional American basketball player. With the nickname "Iron Man", he holds the National Basketball Association's record for most consecutive regular matches played during the season with 1,192. Green has played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat. He's most successful with the Lakers, for whom he won three championships in 1987, 1988 and 2000, and was named NBA All-Star in 1990. Green was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, attended Benson Polytechnic School and Oregon State College. He was inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 2003
