Adam Charles Clayton is an English Irish-born musician who plays the bass for the rock band U2. He has resided in County Dublin, Ireland since his family moved to Malahide in 1965 when he was 5 years old. Clayton attended the Mount Temple Comprehensive School, where he met the classmates he co-founded U2 with in 1976. As a member of the group since inception, he has recorded 14 studio albums with U2. . Clayton's style of bass is known for its "harmonious blend", giving the music a catchy beat.
