Peterson ended his college football career as the Sooners' third all-time best runner. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest full-backs in football history. He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings seventh overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he set the NFL record for fastest yards in a game and was named rookie attacking of the year of the NFL. He went on to receive the MVP award for his performance in the Pro Bowl and became the fifth player in NFL history to have more than 3,000 yards in his first two seasons. In 2010 he became the fifth fastest runner, doing so in his 51st game.
