She released her first solo album, Anything, in 1993, and has released many albums since. In 1999, Mann recorded songs for the Magnolia soundtrack by Paul Thomas Anderson. She won two Grammy Awards and was named one of the ten greatest live musicians in the world by NPR in 2006
