Best known for her dramatic roles in Spain, Sánchez-Gijón was first known worldwide as Victoria Aragon, the daughter of a pregnant Mexican-American winemaker and farmer. Since then, she has built a reputation as an international star in films such as Boca a Boca by Manuel Gomez Pereira, Titanic Maid by Bigas Luna, Sus Ojos Se Cerraron by Jaime Chávarri, an adaptation of the novels by Jaime Chávarri I haven't fear of Niccolò Ammaniti by Gabriele Salvatores and the machinist by Brad Anderson.
