Alain Marie Pascal Prost is a retired French racer. Formula 1 racer won four times, from 1987 to 2001, he held the record for most Grand Prix victories until Michael Schumacher overcame a total of 51 Prost victories at the 2001 Belgian Grand Prix. In 1999, Prost received the World Sports of the Century in the Sports Cars category. Prost discovered love at the age of 14 while on vacation with his family. He advanced through the junior levels of motorsport, winning the Formula 3 championship of France and Europe, before joining the Formula 1 McLaren team in 1980 at the age of 24.
