Alan Michael Sugar, Baron Sugar is a British business mogul, media personality, author, politician and policy advisor. In 1968 he created what would become his largest trading company, the consumer electronics company Amstrad. In 2007 he sold his remaining stake in the company in a deal to BSkyB for £ 125million. Sugar was chairman and co-owner of Tottenham Hotspur from 1991 to 2001, selling his remaining stake in the club in 2007 for £ 25million. He is also known as the host and "owner" of the BBC Reality Contest series, The Apprentice, which has aired annually since 2005. for The Celebrity Apprentice Australia for Australia's Nine Network in 2021. According to the Sunday Times Rich List, Sugar became a billionaire in 2015. In 2016, his fortune was estimated at £ 1.15 billion, which ranked him as the 95th richest person in the UK.
