Alberto Ángel Fernández is an Argentinian politician and professor, the 53rd President of Argentina since 2019. Born in Buenos Aires, Fernández attended the University of Buenos Aires, where he obtained his law degree at the age of 24 years and after. law. He participates in civil service as an advisor to the Advisory Council of Buenos Aires and the Institute of Representatives of Argentina. In 2003, he was appointed Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the presidency of Néstor Kirchner and the first months of the presidency of Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. A member of the center-left Peronist Justice Party, Fernández was the party's candidate in the 2019 presidential election, beating outgoing President Mauricio Macri with 48% of the vote.
