Borstein has also starred as various characters in the MADtv sketch comedy series, as well as Dawn Forchette in the medical comedy series Getting On. She has had supporting roles in several films including The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Catwoman, Good Night and Good Luck, Dinner for Schmucks, Ted, ParaNorman and A Million Ways to Die in the West. Borstein spent his childhood in Deerfield, Illinois, a Chicago suburb, before moving with his family to Northridge, California, a neighborhood of Los Angeles.
