Rush's lead guitarist is a member of the Canadian rock band Rush. He's also put out solo projects, notably the Victor project.

Aleksandar Živojinović, also known as Alex Lifeson, is a Canadian musician, songwriter and record producer best known as progressive rock Rush guitarist and sub vocalist. . In 1968, Lifeson co-founded what would become Rush, with drummer John Rutsey and bassist and lead singer Jeff Jones. Jones was replaced by Geddy Lee a month later, and Rutsey was replaced by Neil Peart in 1974. With Rush, Lifeson played electric and acoustic guitars, as well as other stringed instruments such as the mandola, mandolin. and the bouzouki. He also provides accompaniments in live performances, and occasionally plays keyboards and synthesizers with bass pedals. Like the other members of Rush, Lifeson performs in real time on stage by activating sampled instruments. Together with his band friends Geddy Lee and Neil Peart, Lifeson was appointed Officer of the Order of Canada on May 9, 1996. The trio was the first rock group to be so honored as is a group.
