About Allan McGregor

From 2001 to 2012, he was a goalkeeper for Rangers F.C. He spent a season with Besiktas before joining Hull City in 2013 and he became a member of the Scottish national team in 2007.

Allan James McGregor is a Scottish professional footballer who currently plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish club Rangers. McGregor has also played for St Johnstone, Dunfermline Athletic, Turkish team Beşiktaş, English club Hull City, Wales team Cardiff City and Scotland national team. A product of Edinburgh youth football club Hutchison Vale, McGregor made his team debut for Rangers in February 2002 in a Scottish Cup match against Forfar Athletic. He was later loaned to St Johnstone and Dunfermline Athletic, before becoming a regular player for the Rangers first team at the start of the 2006-07 season. McGregor has made more than 200 appearances for Rangers, winning 11 major trophies in the process, including a hat-trick in 2009, 2010 and 2011, 3 Scottish Cup and 5 Scottish League Cup. After the liquidation of the parent company Rangers in 2012, McGregor exercised his legal rights to become an independent agent.
