2003 NBA Rookie of the Year and six-time NBA All-Star who was drafted 9th overall by the Phoenix Suns in 2002. After eight years in Phoenix, he signed with the New York Knicks in 2010, then with the Dallas Mavericks in 2015 after agreeing to a buyout with the franchise.

Amar'e Carsares Stoudemire is a former Israeli-American basketball player and professional trainer. He is a player development assistant for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association. He won the NBA's Rookie of the Year award in 2003 with the Phoenix Suns, who picked him with the ninth overall pick in the 2002 NBA Draft. He has made six appearances in the NBA All-Star. The game and was named to the All-NBA team five times, including a first-team selection in 2007. Stoudemire played high school basketball for three different schools, eventually graduating from Cypress Creek High School at Orlando, Fla. He has won a number of preparatory titles, including being selected as Mr Florida Basketball. The very healthy Stoudemire has suffered from chronic knee problems throughout his career and underwent microscopic fracture surgery in both knees.
