Amber Patrice Riley, sometimes referred to as RILEY, is an American actress, singer, songwriter, and activist. She is known for her role as Mercedes Jones in the Fox comedy series - the drama Glee. For her performance in the series, she won the Screen Actors Association Award and was nominated for three Teen Choice Awards, three NAACP Image Awards and a Grammy. In November 2016, Riley directed Dreamgirls' first film in the West End, starring Effie White. She won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical in 2017 for her role in Dreamgirls. Riley won Dancing with the Stars season 17 in 2013. In 2017, Riley appeared as a judge on the BBC's musical theatrical talent show One Let It Shine and formed a super musical group with Beverley Knight and Cassidy Janson, collectively known as Women Leading and Signing contract with East West / Warner Disc Company. Their first album, Song from the Stage, was released on November 17, 2017
