Amir Obé, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer from Detroit, Michigan. He started his musical career in 2009 under the name Phreshy Duzit and signed with Atlantic Records. He then left the label to renew his style and renamed it Amir Obé and formed his own collective Neighborhood PHCK $. Obé is famous for having released the mixtape Detrooklyn in 2014. In 2015, he released EP, Happening in the Gray Area then W Don't Find Love in the Hills in 2016. On December 1, 2016, Amir announced that he has signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings and an album will be released in 2017 .
