She was an MTV veejay from the late 1990s to 2001, when she left the internet to host her own broadcast talk show, The Ananda Lewis Show. She was a reporter for The Insider from 2004 to 2005. Then she became a carpenter. She hosted the 2019 cover of While You Were Out on TLC. On October 1, 2020, Lewis informed her Instagram followers that she has been battling stage 3 breast cancer for two years.
