Andros Darryl Townsend is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger for Premier League club Crystal Palace and the England national team. A graduate of Tottenham Hotspur academy and playing for various England youth teams, Townsend was first loaned to several Ligue 1 clubs and later alongside limited appearances at Tottenham, before making his debut in the Premier League on September 16, 2012. After more limited appearances and then on a half-season loan at Premier League club Queens Park Rangers, Townsend became Tottenham's player for seasons. After that he was unpopular at Tottenham, and after a brief stint at Newcastle United during the 2015-16 season he moved to Crystal Palace in the summer of 2016. During his senior international career, Townsend made his English debut on 11 October 2013 and made thirteen appearances, scoring three goals.
