Angie Stone is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer. She rose to prominence in the late 1970s as a member of the hip hop trio The Sequence. The first female rap group in hip-hop history to release an original rap album spanning four decades. The first rap trio do billboards, create payments and run a tour business. Soon after, Stone began collaborating with future rap group Mantronix and singer Lenny Kravitz. In the early 1990s, she became a member of the R&B Vertical Hold trilogy. In 1999, Stone released his first single Black Diamond on Arista Records, certified gold, and created the number one R&B hit "No More Rain". After joining J Records, she released another hit gold record, Mahogany Soul, which included the single "Wish I Did not Miss You", followed by Stone Love and The Art of Love & War album.
