Angus Stanley King Jr is an American politician and lawyer, served as the young US Senator of the State of Maine since 2013. Politically independent since 1993, he has been the 72nd Governor of Maine since 2013. 1995 to 2003. King won the Maine Senate elections in 2012 to replace Olympia Snowe of the retired Republican party and took office on January 3, 2013. He was re-elected for a second term. two in 2018, after the first state election. For the purpose of assigning committees, he secretly meets with the Democratic Party. He is one of two independent candidates currently serving in the Senate, the other being Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who also caucuses with Democrats.
