Anna Acton is an English actress best known for playing Rochelle Barratt, wife of a district commander, in the ITV TV series The Bill and DC Emma Summerhayes in the BBC One EastEnders soap opera. Prior to appearing in The Bill, Acton played the long but passionate Geri Evans in the soap opera Family Affairs for three and a half years. Acton also appeared in two episodes Doctors as Rachel Cook and then Keira Chesterton and Hollyoaks as DC Mullins. In May 2007, she played the role of Louise Martin in two HolbyBlue episodes for the BBC. In August 2008, she appeared with Paul Nicholls on Harley Street and was also seen as Dorothy on the CGI Sketch Show for BBC The Wrong Door. From 2013 to 2015, Acton played Joy on the CBeebies Topsy and Tim show. From April 21, 2014 to January 2, 2015, she played DC Emma Summerhayes, the police investigating the murder of Lucy Beale, in the BBC One EastEnders opera.
