Former Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister who became the informal leader of the People's Justice Party, Keadilan, in 2008. In 2008, he was elected to the Malaysian Parliament as a member of the Permatang Pauh constituency.

Dato 'Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim is a Malaysian politician who served as the 12th and 16th leader of the opposition twice since May 2020 and from August 2008 to March 2015, the second president 2 of the People's Justice Party since November 2018, the 2nd president of the opposition Pakatan Harapan coalition since February 2020, MP of Port Dickson from October 2018 and president of the caucus about Reform and Governance from December 2018. He was Deputy Prime Minister from December 1993 to September 1998, Minister of Finance from March 1991 to September 1998, Minister of Education from May 8 years 1986 to March 1991, Minister of Agriculture from July 1984 to August 1986, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports from June 1983 to July 1984 and member of the National Assembly. Assembly for Permatang Pauh twice from August 2008 to March 2015 and from March 1982 to April 1999. He is a member of the United Malay National Organization, one party of the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition.
