Arina Tanemura is a Japanese manga artist, illustrator and character designer. She began her professional manga in 1996 with the short comic book The Style of the Second Love in the magazine shoujo manga Ribon Original then published her first series, ION, in 1997, in the magazine Main poux Ribon. She rose to fame from the late 1990s to mid-2000s with the Phantom Thief Jeanne series, Full Moon o Sagashite, and The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross. Over the course of her career, Tanemura's work has been recognized in the shoujo manga for her artistic style and the theme of young girls turning into the women they want to be. In addition to his publications, Tanemura has released two independent studio albums featuring songs based on his characters and is a character designer for Idolish7 and other media projects.
