Third Eye Blind is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California, in 1993. The writing duo of Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan signed the group's first recording contract with Elektra Records in 1996, the latter is arguably the largest edition. . Never trade for an artist without signature. The band released their debut album in 1997, mainly comprising Jenkins, Cadogan, Arion Salazar and Brad Hargreaves. Immediately after releasing the group's second album in 1999, Blue, with the same lineup, Cadogan was dropped from the group under controversial circumstances. The band continues, but with many changes to the lineup and the gap between album releases. The group released Out of the Vein in 2003 and Ursa Major in 2009, with only Jenkins and Hargreaves as the remaining core members. The group's current iterations including Kryz Reid, Alex Kopp and Alex LeCavalier recorded the group's fifth studio album, Dopamine, released in 2015
