Striker for the Polish national football team who began playing with the Italian club Napoli in 2016 after previously playing with Ajax first on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, and then as an official member of the club.
Arkadiusz Krystian "Arek" Milik, is a Polish professional soccer player who plays as a striker for Ligue 1 Olympique Marseille, on loan from Napoli and the Polish national team. Milik started his career as a soccer player in the Rozwój Katowice youth team. In 2011, he signed a one-year deal with Górnik Zabrze, and in 2012 he moved to Bayer Leverkusen and then played for FC Augsburg and Ajax respectively on loan. In 2015-2016, he was bought by Ajax under a 4-year contract for 2.8 million euros. While playing for Ajax, Milik became one of Eredivisie's top strikers. On 1 August 2016, he joined Italian club Napoli for 35 million euros, effectively replacing Gonzalo Higuaín. Internationally, Milik attended the Euro 2016 final against Poland, where his country had reached the quarter-finals of the tournament. He also competed in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, where his team were eliminated in the group stage.
