Armand "Mondo" Duplantis is an American pole vaulter of Swedish origin and currently holds the world record with a height of 6.18 meters. Duplantis won a gold medal at the age of 15 in the men's pole vault at the 2015 World Junior Championships and holds some of the best age groups in the world. He won a gold medal at the 2018 European Championship with a height of 6.05 meters and a silver medal at the 2019 World Championship. Duplantis also won the Diamonds 2020 and the 2021 European Indoor Championship, setting up better tournaments in both cases.
