Mrs. Universe is widely regarded as the first Canadian and First Nations woman to win the title. After finishing as the Canadian national runner-up in the 2013 Miss Universe Canada pageant, she reached this milestone in August 2015.

Ashley Callbull was the first Canadian and the first Canadian Aboriginal woman to win the title of Universal Wife on August 29, 2015.
