English singer and dancer who was a finalist on season five of The X Factor and was a member of the boy band JLS.

Aston Iain Merrygold is an English singer, dancer, television personality and actor. He is known as a member of the British boy band JLS, which finished second behind Alexandra Burke in the fifth series of The X Factor. After 5 years, JLS broke up on December 22, 2013. In 2013, Merrygold became a judge for the UK show Got to Dance talent search. Aston has been working on Showstopper's solo debut for release in mid-2016, but it has yet to be released. The album's lead single, "Get Stupid," was released on July 24, 2015. In August 2017, Merrygold was announced as a candidate for the fifteenth series of the Serious Dance Game. Merrygold was eliminated on November 5, 2017, arriving in tenth place. Merrygold has also appeared in dramas including Fun Song Factory and Almost Never.
