Maria Louise Joensen, known by her stage name Aura Dione, is a Danish singer and songwriter. In 2008, she released her debut album, Columbine. The album produced the hit single "I Will Love You Monday", reached number one in Germany, reached more than 80 million video views and was certified platinum. After winning the 2011 European Border Breaker Award, Dione took home the Best Female Artist and hit of the year award for "Geronimo" at the 2012 Danish Music Awards and 2013 Female Artist of the Year; she is one of the two top female artists in Denmark and one of the top three artists in Germany.
