Jonas Erik Altberg, known by his stage name Basshunter, is a Swedish singer, record producer and DJ. He began producing music under the stage name "Basshunter" in 2001. He has recorded six studio albums: The Bassmachine, LOL, The Old Shit, Now You're Gone - The Album, Bass Generation and Calling Time. In addition to his own music, he has written for El Capon, Mange Makers and Lana Scolaro. He also appeared in the seventh UK series including Celebrity Big Brother, Sweden's Fångarna på fortet and Britain's weakest link in 2010. He has won awards such as the European Border Breaker Award. Europe, 2006 Grammi Award for Best Ringtone and World Music Awards. He is also nominated for the BT Digital Music Awards, the MTV European Music Awards and Rockbjörnen.
