About Ben Chung

Former member of the Jabbawockeez, an all-male hip hop dance crew who won the first season of America's Best Dance Crew. In October of 2014, he quit the Jabbawockeez and joined a new group called Kinjaz.

Ben Chung Kam-lun is a politician from Hong Kong. He is currently a member and chair of the Sai Kung District Council for Yan Ying and an organizer of the New Democratic Party. He graduated from Lingnan University, majoring in Cultural Studies. He has been in politics since the age of 12 when he volunteered for Sai Kung County Councilor Gary Fan. He is also president of the 2006 Youth Conference of the Confederation of Hong Kong High School Students. He joined the Democratic Party, but left Fan on his agreement with the Beijing government in its 2012 constitutional reform proposal and co-founded the New Democrat Party with the shortcomings of other Democrats. He first ran in the 2011 District Council elections in Yan Ying. He won the seat with 2,221 votes and became the youngest candidate elected in that election. He was re-elected in 2015. In the 2016 Legislative Assembly election, he ran for a nine-man ticket from Gary Fan in the New Territories East.
