Marco "Benny" Benassi is an Italian DJ, record producer and mixer. He is considered by many to be a pioneer of the electro house genre, a genre that was brought into the mainstream through the 2002 summer hit "Satisatis". He started his career as a DJ with his cousin Alessandro "Alle" Benassi, forming the electronic duo Benassi Bros. Although he became famous under his pseudonym in 1997 when he released the song "Electric Flying", his first international hit was "I Feel So Fine", released in 2001 under the nickname KMC. In 2003, Benassi released his first solo album Hypnotica with many positive reviews. It combines electronic sound with many elements of house music and won the European Border Breaker Award. The following year, Benassi Bros. debut album, Pumphonia, was released. Their song "Illusion" became very popular among American clubs, eventually reaching number 4 on Hot Dance Club Play. After "Hit My Heart" reached No. 15.
