Actress well known for her roles in Carrie and Tender Mercies. She won a Tony Award for her performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS as Grizabella, the Glamour Cat.

Betty Lynn Buckley is an American actress and singer. She won the 1983 Tony Award for Best Actress in a musical for her role as Grizabella in the original Broadway play by Cats. She then played Norma Desmond on Sunset Avenue in London and New York, received Olivier's 1995 nomination for Best Actress in Musical, and was nominated for the 1997 Tony Award for Actress. Best Actor in Triumph of Love Musical His other Broadway credits include 1776, Pippin and The Mystery of Edwin Drood. She was also twice nominated for a Daytime Emmy, twice nominated for a Grammy and who was nominated at the American Theater Hall of Fame in 2012. Buckley starred in the TV series Eight Is Enough from 1977 to year 1981 and playing Miss Collins in the 1976 movie Carrie before starring in Carrie's brief Broadway musical version in 1988, playing Carrie White's mother, Margaret.
