Gilpin has appeared in films such as the mystery thriller True Story, the sci-fi romantic comedy Future 38, the fantasy romantic comedy Don't It Romantic, the heartfelt drama A Dog's Journey, and the action comedy Stuber. In 2020, Gilpin starred in horror film The Grudge, satirical action thriller The Hunt, and action comedy Coffee & Kareem.
