Bill Wyman is an English musician, record producer, musician and singer. He was bassist for the British rock and roll band The Rolling Stones from 1962 to 1993. From 1997 he recorded and toured with his own band, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. He worked in record and film production, and wrote sheet music for films and television. Wyman has been journaling since he was a child after World War II. He has published seven books. Wyman is also a photographer and his works have been exhibited in galleries around the world. He has become an amateur archaeologist and loves to explore metals. He designed and marketed a patented "Bill Wyman's signature metal detector", used to find monuments in rural England dating back to the Roman Empire.
