William Gaither Crudup is an American actor. He is a four-time Tony Award nominee, winning once for his performance in Tom Stoppard's play The Coast of Utopia in 2007. He has appeared in many popular films, Without Limits, Princess Mononoke, Nearly Famous, Big Fish, Mission : Impossible III, Watchmen, Public Enemies, Spotlight, Jackie, The Stanford Prison Experiment, Justice League and Alien: Covenant, in lead and supporting roles. He was nominated for Best Independent Male Award for his performance in Jesus' Son, and received two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations as part of the cast for Virtually Famous and Spotlight, winner for the latter. Crudup starred in the online television series Gypsy and The Morning Show, which later won him the Primetime Emmy Award and the Critics' Choice TV Award.
