Robert William Howard Jr is an American professional wrestler, actor and former racing athlete, better known by his stage name Hardcore Holly or Bob Holly. He is known for his 16-year career at World Wrestling Federation / World Wrestling Entertainment where he also works with the stage names Thurman "Sparky" Plugg, Bob "Spark Plug" Holly and Bombastic Bob, and gimmicks His notable advertisement "the Big Cap". After debuting in 1990, Holly worked for Smoky Mountain Wrestling and other indie promotions, before joining WWE full-time in 1994. Initially describing the character of a NASCAR driver, Thurman "Sparky" Plugg, his name was quickly changed to Bob "Spark Plug" Holly. In 1998, he formed a group with Bart Gunn, called The New Midnight Express. After being known as "Hardcore Holly" in 1999, he joined the on-screen cousins, Crash and Molly. In 2002, he broke his neck, causing him to sit out for more than a year.
