Best known as Josh Lyman on the series The West Wing, for which he won an Emmy Award, he is also notable for roles in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, The Mentalist, and ABC's Trophy Wife. He also played Adam Sandler's antagonist in the film Billy Madison.

Bradley Whitford is an American actor and producer. He is best known for his role as White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman in NBC political drama The West Wing, for which he was nominated for three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards from 2001 to 2003, winning in 2001. The role has also earned him three consecutive Golden Globe nominations. In addition to The West Wing, Whitford played Danny Tripp in Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip; Dan Stark in the comedy The Good Guys, a close friend of the Fox Police; Timothy Carter, a character supposed to be Red John, in the CBS series The Mentalist; the antagonist Eric Gordon in the movie Billy Madison; Arthur Parsons in The Post, Dean Armitage in the horror film Get Out; and Roger Peralta of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. In 2015, he won his second Primetime Emmy Award for his role as Marcy in Transparent, then earned a fifth Primetime Emmy nomination for his role as Magnus Hirschfeld in the same series.
