She is also a blogger and podcaster on issues related to the video game industry. In 2018, she unsuccessfully ran for Congress in Massachusetts' 8th District. Wu launched a second campaign for the first campaign in 2020, but in April she announced she was quitting the race, due to the coronavirus blockade preventing direct movements.
