Brittany Howard is an American musician, singer and songwriter known as the lead singer, guitarist and lead musician of rock bands Alabama Shakes and Thunderbitch. His work with Alabama Shakes garnered nine Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Album of the Year for Sound and Color. They eventually won four awards, including Best Alternative Music Album. In 2018, the Alabama Shakes announced they would suspend operations. Meanwhile, Howard released her debut studio album as a solo artist, Jaime, in 2019. The work was critically acclaimed and she received seven nominations. Grammy Award, winner for best rock song for "Stay High".
