Evan Brooks Laich is a former professional Canadian ice hockey player. He has played over 750 National Hockey League games on four teams: the Ottawa Senators, Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs and Los Angeles Kings. Laich was originally drafted by the Senators in the 2001 NHL Draft, then traded to the Capital as part of a forfeit to Peter Bondra. Prior to playing professionally, Laich spent time in the Western Hockey League alongside Moose Jaw Warriors and the Seattle Thunderbirds. He represented Canada internationally, won a silver medal at the 2003 Children's World Championships and again played for Canada at the 2010 World Hockey Championships
