About Buddy Murphy
Professional wrestler from Australia who debuted in the WWE NXT developmental area in 2013. He won the NXT Tag Team Championship in 2015.
Matthew Adams is an Australian professional wrestler currently under contract with WWE, where he competes on the SmackDown franchise under the name Murphy Ring. Prior to joining WWE, Adams wrestled primarily in his native Australia, under the stage name Matt Silva, appearing in promotions such as Professional Champion Wrestling and City Wrestling Melbourne. He joined WWE in 2013, from WWE's developed territory, NXT. The following year, he formed a team with Wesley Blake, who won the NXT Tag Team Championship in one go. Murphy thus became the first Australian champion in WWE history. In early 2018, Adams transferred to WWE's main roster, when he became a part of 205 Live. He won the WWE Cruiserweight championship later that year in October, becoming the first Australian wrestler to win a major title. In April 2019, he was recruited into SmackDown, leaving the cruiser division. Murphy was recruited into Raw later that year in October
