Calvin Johnson Jr., is a former American footballer who played for the National Football Federation for nine seasons with the Detroit Lions. He played college rugby at Georgia Tech, where he won two All-America titles, and was selected by the Lions as a second-place finalist in the 2007 NFL Draft. Nicknamed "Megatron" after the name of the fictional character of the same name, he is widely regarded as one of the largest recorders of all time. Johnson is said to have a rare combination of size, ball-catching ability, speed, strength, jumping ability and body control. He has competed for six consecutive Pro Bowls and was named the First Everyone Team for three consecutive seasons. In the 2012 season, he set a one-season record with 1,964 yards. Johnson also holds the NFL record for 100 yard matches in a single season, 100 yard head-to-head matches and matches against 10 or more receptions.
