Carl Michael Edwards II is a former professional American racer. Last time he competed in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, he drove his 19th Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. Prior to that he drove the 99 Ford Fusion for Roush Fenway Racing. He won the NASCAR Busch Series Championship in 2007 and came close to winning the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title in 2011, but lost to someone who beat Tony Stewart. Edwards was famous for his first act of flipping his car to celebrate his victory, which was the result of escaping from a fall in his first victory.
