Carl Michael Yastrzemski is a former American Professional Baseball Federation baseball player. He was elected to the Baseball Fame Hall in 1989. Yastrzemski has played his entire 23-year Major League career with the Boston Red Sox. He is primarily a left midfielder, but has also played 33 games as a third batter and was primarily the first to strike and was named later in his career. Yastrzemski is an 18-time All-Star player, owns seven Golden Gloves, is a member of the successful 3000 club, and is the first American League player at that club to also rack up more than 400 runs on the field. He is second on the all-time list for games played and third for total goals. He is the Red Sox's all-time leader in the RBI in career, race, hit, singles, doubles, basics and games played, and ranks third on the team's home homer list, behind Ted Williams and David Ortiz.
