Carson Hilton Palmer is a former American football defenseman who played for the National Football Federation for 15 seasons, primarily with the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals. Palmer played college rugby at USC, where he won the Heisman Trophy in 2002. First selected in the NFL Draft in 2003, Palmer was selected by the Bengals, with whom he played eight seasons. During his tenure at Cincinnati, he helped lead the team to their first season and playoff victory in 15 years and was named to two Pro Bowls. Amid declining success and conflict with Bengals ownership, Palmer was traded to Oakland Raiders, where he played for two seasons before joining Arizona. With Cardinals, Palmer continues the level of play he enjoyed before in his career. He had his most successful year in 2015, helping the Cardinals hit the NFC Championship game and was named into their third Pro Bowl, in addition to becoming the second All-Pro team.
