Carter Anthony Beauford is an American drummer, percussionist and a founding member of the Dave Matthews Band. He is known for his ability to adapt to a wide variety of genres, as well as his ambidextrous and open-minded drum style. He played the drums and sang the accompaniment in the group. Beauford was ranked 10th in the Rolling Stone Magazine Readers' Poll in 2010 for Greatest Drummers of All Time.
