The New York Islanders selected him in the fourth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He was a captain and guided the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors to the OHL championship series in his prior four seasons with the organization.

Casey Cizikas is a Canadian professional ice hockey center for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. He spent four seasons with the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors of the Ontario Hockey League, where he spent two seasons scoring 20 goals. Cizikas was selected by the Islanders in the fourth round, 92 final, of the 2009 NHL Draft. He began playing for their small league, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, two years later. The 2012 season; he has been recalled to the Islanders' NHL squad mid-season, where he has been playing since.
